General Terms and Conditions

1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the vacation rentals offered by Delphine and Frédéric Alcaraz (SIREN: 419 990 320), 4049 Route de Moustiers, Lot 5, 04500 Roumoules, France—hereinafter “the Owner”—via the website lavilodouverdon.fr.

2. Reservation

All reservations are final upon receipt of the deposit payment. The renter acknowledges having read these Terms and Conditions and accepts them without reservation upon confirming their online reservation.

3. Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance (70%) is automatically charged 14 days before the arrival date.

If a booking is made less than 14 days before the start of the stay, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

Payments are made online by credit card via Stripe, a PCI-DSS-certified secure payment provider.

4. Tourist Tax

A tourist tax of 1.65 € per night per person (adults and minors over 18 years of age) is added to the total cost of the stay, in accordance with current regulations.

5. Security Deposit

A security deposit of 800 € is required prior to arrival and will be secured via a pre-authorization on your credit card. It will not be charged unless there is damage, missing items, or a breach of the rental terms.

6. Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation by the renter, the following conditions apply:

  • More than 30 days before arrival: full refund of all amounts paid.
  • Between 30 and 14 days before arrival: the 30% deposit is retained by the owner.
  • Less than 14 days before arrival or no-show: the full amount for the stay remains due; norefund will be issued.

All cancellations must be notified by email to contact@lavilodouverdon.fr. The date the message is received will be considered the effective date.

7. Capacity and House Rules

The villa accommodates up to 6 people. Children are welcome; baby equipment is available upon request.

  • The villa is entirely smoke-free (indoors and outdoors).
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Parties and events are not permitted.
  • Quiet hours begin after 10:00 PM.
  • Children must be supervised at all times near the pool and hot tub.

8. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m..

Check-out: before 10:00 a.m..

Any late checkout may result in additional charges.

9. Liability

The renter is liable for any damage caused to the villa or its equipment during their stay. The owner shall not be held liable for incidents resulting from misuse of the equipment or failure to comply with the house rules.

10. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought as a priority. Failing that, any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Digne-les-Bains, in accordance with applicable French law.
